“It is something to be able to paint a particular picture, or to carve a statue, and so make a few objects beautiful; but it is far more glorious to carve and paint the very atmosphere and medium through which we look.  To affect the quality of the day- that is the highest of arts.”  Henry David Thoreau

Guerilla Art

Essential Questions- What you will consider

1. How does attention affect our interaction with the world?
2. How can I, as an artist, affect the attention of people around me?
3. What message do I want to wake people up to?

Project Goals- What you will do
1. Submit a proposal for a guerilla art project designed to wake up the world around you to an important message or idea.
2. Once your proposal is approved, implement your art piece in an approved public location.
3. Complete an artist statement and document your audience's reaction to your piece.
4. Reflect on the success of your work.
