1.  How can i communicate a powerful message in a small space?

2.  How does block printing allow me to widen the audience for my message?



​Project Goals- What you will do
1. Decide on a short inspirational statement or powerful, inspirational image.

2. Design a 4" x 6" layout for your statement or image.
3. Transfer your design to block printing rubber and carve to create a stamp.
4. Create one print to be graded and 5-10  prints to be passed out to friends and community members.

 

Project Grouping
Complete this project on your own.  Communicate with your fellow classmates for critique on your project.  

 

​Project Grading
You will receive a grade for the following:

1. Craftsmanship- Writing or image is clear and neat, ink is evenly distributed, image is centered on the paper.

2. Content- Stamp communicates an inspirational idea, stamp is created with either positive or negative relief

3. Professionalism- Piece is completed on time, name is written clearly on the piece, and materials have been managed carefully
